Rates of evolution and ENC of unbiased (UBG), mating type minus-biased (mt-BG) and mating type plus-biased (mt+BG) genes during gametogenesis. Overall dN, dS, and dN/dS ratios were calculated by comparing orthologous gene sequences from U. mutabilis and U. prolifera by CODEML. dN: nonsynonymous substitutions, dS: synonymous substitutions, dN/dS: ratio of nonsynonymous to synonymous substitutions, ENC: effective number of codons. Pairwise statistical significance between the two groups of SBG and UBG was calculated by Wilcoxon test, statistically significant differences are indicated (*P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001).
