Transition (Ts; A⇔G/C⇔T) and transversion (Tv; A⇔T/A⇔C/G⇔T/G⇔C) rates obtained between orthologous pairs of genes of Alvinella pompejana by comparing single-individual transcriptomes from the north (9°50 N) and south (18°25S) EPR onto the genome of the worm (northern individual). Rates were obtained from coding sequences obtained from the orthologous gene datasets used for the dN/dS analysis by discriminating genes without introns and genes with introns (i.e., the exonic regions of genes obtained after mapping transcripts onto the genome)
