Syntenic evolution of HE and C6ast genes in vertebrates. The genomic synteny of the HE (green) and other C6ast (magenta, ancestral C6ast; red, patristacin; blue, nephrosin and pactacin) genes was strongly conserved during the evolution of the vertebrates. HECUB1 and HECUB2 indicate HE genes having a single or two CUB domain structures at the C-terminal side, respectively
